After beating Andy Ruiz, in Auckland, to win the WBO version of the world heavyweight title, the Kiwi fighter Joseph Parker is looking for a suitable opponent for his first defence.
April 8th is pencilled in for the first defence of his crown and already the names of Hughie Fury, David Price and Jarrell Miller have been suggested.
However, although all three are worthy and creditable opponents to face Parker it is Jarrell Miller who is being the most vociferous when it comes to getting a deal sorted.
Jarrell, who has a record that reads 18-0-1 with 13 of those wins coming by way of knockout, has remarked to Sky Sports.com, about facing Parker,
?I would go anywhere to go fight that bum.
?I don?t care if it?s in New Zealand, I don?t care if it?s in Botswana, I don?t care if it?s in Morocco, I don?t care if it?s in Vegas, or on his doorstep. I?m going to find that boy and beat him.?
If verbal jousting leads to a good fight we could be in for a cracker if these two get in the ring together.
