With James DeGale installed as the mandatory challenger for Carl Froch?s IBF super-middleweight title, the challenger ha supped the ante by putting pen-to-paper on his part of the contract.
It seems a date of 31st January 2015 has been put aside for the fight with the O2 Arena in London, the venue.
However Carl Froch hasn?t put pen-to-paper on the contract as he seeks something bigger and better.
Froch still wants that Las Vegas fight for his career swansong and there is even talk of a third fight (yawn) with the Dane Mikkel Kessler.
Froch has already stated that he doesn?t feel he can get himself up for a fight with DeGale and we now risk the real possibility that Froch could vacate the IBF belt rather than to commit to a fight he doesn?t really want.
We?ll wait and see what happens!
I?ve Signed. How About You?
