Not too long ago we ran an article whereby we covered the fact that the WBC king of the heavyweight division, Deontay Wilder, was looking for a new opponent.

Wilder, heading back to the ring after having surgery on arm and hand injuries was scheduled to take on Andrzej Wawrzyk, at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham Alabama on 25th February.

However his opponent failed a drugs test and was pulled from the card.

But Wilder, who has a record that reads 37-0 with 36 wins coming by way of knockout, will fight on that night.

His promotional team has signed up the unbeaten #10 WBC ranked Gerald Washington to face Wilder.

For Washington, who has a record that reads 18-0-1 with 12 wins coming by way of knockout, it is the ideal opportunity to create an upset.

Can the 34-year-old spring a surprise?

I guess we?ll have to wait and see!
