It had always been the game-plan that once Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew had both moved up to cruiserweight they?d be meeting each other.

Cleverly, with a record that reads 28-1 with 14 wins by way of knockout and Bellew, with a record of 22-2 also with 14 wins by way of knockout, have been carefully matched since stepping up from light-heavyweight.

The clash will take place on December 6th, but not in Liverpool as suggested, instead the fight will be the chief support to the first defence the new IBF world title holder, Kell Brook, in Sheffield.

It is already shaping up to be a night to look forward to.
