After a run of fights whereby Gennady Golovkin has fought British fighters, it appears the boxer considered to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world is after collecting another belt.

Golovkin, with a record that reads 36-0 with 33 of those wins coming by knockout, is already the holder of the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBC middleweight belts and now he?s targeting the WBA belt.

That belt is currently held by the American fighter Daniel Jacobs who has a record almost as good as that of Golovkin, with Jacobs having won 32 fights, lost 1 and knocked out 29 of his opponents.

The fight is expected to take place on 18th March 2017 in New York at the world famous Madison Square Garden.

Although the negotiations are not yet completed, reports suggest that the contracts will be done and dusted before the weekend ends.
