It appears that Kell Brook and Floyd Mayweather Junior will be fighting on the same day but not in the same ring.
In fact they won?t even be fighting in the same country!
Whilst the world waits to see who the ?Money Man? unveils as his latest and supposedly last opponent for his bout in Las Vegas, Brook, the current IBF welterweight champion of the world, will be fighting in London, UK.
Negotiations are well advanced that would see Brook matched up against the former WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios. Whilst Brook has the perfect record of 35-0 with 24 of those wins coming by way of knockout, Rios has a few blemishes on a record that reads 33-2-1 but also with 24 wins coming by way of knockout.
However, whilst Brook will be disappointed he hasn?t gotten the chance to take on Mayeather, the fight against Rios will give him some exposure in the US as the television giant, HBO, will screen the bout in the afternoon ahead of the transmission of the huge Mayweather show.
