This coming December it is looking more and more likely that Amir Khan will be meeting Devon Alexander for the IBF welterweight crown.

Amir has already stated that he believes the fight will take part in Dubai with a date of 7th December seemingly pencilled in.

However, it appears that the champion, Alexander, isn?t too keen on a fight in Dubai fearful that the crowd will be packed with Khan supporters? and very few travelling from the USA.

But, as is often the case in the fight game, money talks and if the financial package is sufficient then Dubai it will be, with a quote from the promotional team reading,

?I talked to Team Alexander about going to Dubai, and it?s coming down to ?Show me the money.? So that?s why I?m going to Dubai. Let?s see if they can show us the money.?

Interestingly, the vibes coming from the USA suggest they fancy their man, Alexander, to do a job on Khan possibly stopping the Bolton fighter in the middle rounds of the fight.

All I?ll say is if that?s what they believe then they?ve underestimated Khan?s ambition, desire and ability to take punishment.

  • I reckon if Amir sticks to a game-plan and doesn’t get involved he can win, but if he wants to stand and trade it’ll be another ball game
