Those rumours relating to a comeback for the legend that is Oscar De La Hoya continue to gather momentum.

De La Hoya, who hasn?t fought since losing to Manny Pacquiao back in 2009, appears to be serious in his intentions to make a come-back.

Discussing a possible comeback, De La Hoya has remarked,

‘The only reason I would come back is because I miss the competition of fighting the very best.

‘I don’t have to come back for financial reasons or the lights or the glamour.
‘Right now I feel the best I have felt in my life physically, emotionally, mentally because I haven’t touched alcohol for I don’t know how long.

‘I’m training. I feel great. But it has to be worth my while. Would I do it? I don’t know but I wake up every morning thinking that I can.’

It seems that Oscar is undecided but I?m sincerely hoping that at 42-years of age he doesn?t.

After winning titles at the following weights Oscar has nothing left to prove – Featherweight, lightweight, light welterweight, welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight.

But then again only Oscar knows what he is capable of.
