When Anthony Joshua demolished Kevin Johnson at the O2 Arena, Eddie Hearn promised that the next time Joshua fought there, in September, it would be against an opponent that would see the arena filled.

Well something like that!

Instead, with a crunch fight against Dillian Whyte lined up for later in the year, it seems that a soft option has been settled on instead.

They can label the fight as for the vacant Commonwealth belt but taking on Gary Cornish, even if the Scottish fighter is unbeaten, seriously disappoints me.

They can label it as the clash of two unbeaten heavyweights with Joshua?s record reading 13-0 with 13 coming by way of knockout and Cornish entering the ring with a record that reads 21-0 with 12 by knockout, but it still does nothing for me.

With the Matchroom camp harping on about Joshua being the future of heavyweight boxing can?t help thinking the public deserve more than they are being given on September 12th.

How about you?
