After his dalliance as a middleweight ended in a crushing defeat at the hands of Gennady Golovkin, Kell Brook is dropping back down to welterweight to take on the IBF mandatory challenger Errol Spence.
Brook has recovered from the surgery required to repair the eye socket damaged by the hard-punching Golovkin and eager to get back into action.
Talking about the fight, Brook?s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has remarked,
?We?re talking to Bramall Lane about it as well, end of May, 20th or the 27th. We have talked about a fight for a while there and I think this one makes sense.?
Brook has often spoken about a huge fight in his home town and with Spence having previously declared he?d fight Brook anywhere just to get an opportunity to fight for the IBF belt, Bramall Lane could be set for one of those wonderful boxing nights.
It Could Be Sheffield for Brook v Spence
