On hearing that Matchroom Promotions had provisionally booked Wembley Stadium for a supper-fight, Amir Khan jumped to the conclusion the date had been put aside for a bout between Kell Brook and himself.

Amir wasn?t too happy that the Hearn camp had jumped to a decision without informing him of their intentions.

Well it seems that Amir may have jumped to the wrong conclusion.

In his column in a weekend tabloid publication Barry Hearn has commented on that proposed June 13th date, writing,

?Amir got annoyed last week when it was announced Matchroom had put Wembley Stadium on hold to stage a June 13 super-fight.

?Everybody assumed it was Khan v Brook. But others are being planned and Wembley is the chosen venue.

?Carl Froch has yet to confirm his next opponent, James DeGale is ready to be involved in a biggie in his own right and don?t forget the colossus called Anthony Joshua.?

Is Barry playing a game of poker here?

I doubt DeGale would sell-out Wembley Stadium and I doubt that Froch would a second time, without Groves in the opposite corner and although Joshua is a super-star in the making, he?s not that big a headline act yet.

So maybe Amir was right after all eh!
