This weekend has all the ingredients to be a prominent one when it comes to sport.

After the delight of being able to choose whether to watch Manchester United v Manchester City on Sky Sports, or enjoying the first Scottish Premier League derby fixture between Celtic and Rangers for many a year, it?s time to await what many are perceiving to be the fight of the year, on Sky Box Office late in the evening when Kell Brook goes toe-to-toe with the fearsome Gennady Golovkin.

Both fighters have unbeaten 100% records, someone is going to end the night distraught.

A fighter who knows all about big nights like this and one that will be hoping Manchester City beat Manchester United, is Ricky Hatton.

Hatton who was a two weight world title holder in his illustrious career, has fought the greats, taking on Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Junior but, unfortunately, coming up short on both occasions.

Talking to the media about the bout, a fight which sees Brook go up two weight categories, Hatton has remarked,

?You have two give Kell credit for taking such a big fight.

?I hope he does it but Golovkin is a punching machine. If you pitter-patter, he?s going to get you.?

Reading between the lines, I?d surmise that Hatton is edging towards a Golovkin victory.

Can Brook surprise us all and create history?
