Back in the days when it was light until late at night, James DeGale bludgeoned his way through a final world title eliminator.
The victory should have set up a big domestic clash against the current world champion Carl Froch.
However, Froch has shied away from a tear-up with DeGale citing he cannot get himself up for such a fight.
Today it appears that DeGale will not get that fight against Froch with Froch, appearing on a special broadcast to be shown on BBC One in the East Midlands, set to reveal that if he doesn?t get the big Las Vegas fight he hankers after he will retire from the sport.
Now that may be the case but if Froch is not going to fight his mandatory challenger should he not be forced to give that respective belt up or even be stripped of it with immediate effect?
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Is Froch Keeping Us Hanging On?
