After his successful comeback fight a fight in which David Haye knocked out Mark De Mori inside a round, in January, we?re all waiting to hear who Haye will fight in his second comeback fight scheduled for May 21 at the O2 Arena in London.
One possibility being touted around is that of the former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs.
Briggs, like Haye, is on the comeback trail and has been for two years and has, despite not meeting anyone that could remotely be called world-class, is #4 in the WBA ratings.
Talking about his next fight, Haye has remarked to the media,
?There?s about four people in the pipeline at the moment.?
And when pressed on whether Briggs could be one of them, simply remarked,
?Maybe.?
Briggs it should be pointed out is now 44 years of age and has a record that reads 59-6-1 with 52 wins coming by way of knockout.
But would it be a fight the British public would buy into?
Is Briggs Hayes Next Opponent?
