It?s decision time for the Sheffield fighter.

Although Kell Brook lost in his ill-fated attempt to be the first professional fighter to beat Gennady Golovkin, the Sheffield fighter, it should be remembered, is still the IBF welterweight champion.

However, in being beaten in the fifth round, Brook suffered an eye socket injury that has seen him side-lined.

The IBF, keen to keep their belt active, were set to order negotiations to take place for Brook to defend his belt against their number 1 challenger Errol Spence, a fighter that has a record that reads 21-0 with 18 of those wins coming from stoppages.

However, due to Brook?s eye injury, the IBF have given Brook a 60-day medical extension.

With Brook having moved up to middleweight for the Gennady contest, it remains to be seen whether Brook will drop back down to welterweight to take on the unbeaten Spence or perhaps operate at light-middleweight from now on.

If that is the case then Brook will have to make the decision to vacate his IBF welterweight title.

We can only wait and see what Brook decides to do.
