You get the feeling the current buoyant heavyweight scene is set to become a lot more interesting.

Two boxers currently dominate the limelight in the highest echelons on the weight, the multi-titled Wladimir Klitschko and the new darling of the US media, Deontay Wilder.

Looking in from the outside, it could be said that Wladimir Klitschko is at the end of his career and could be there for the taking, when he comes face to face with our unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury.

As for Deontay Wilder, although his impressive record of 35-0 with 34 coming by way of the big knockout, there are those who are suggesting his opponents have been somewhat hand-picked and that when he meets a true boxer then he?ll lose his belt.

Another of our up and coming heavyweights, Hughie Fury, is of the opinion that his cousin, Tyson, will soon become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Hughie predicts that Tyson will defeat Wladimir and then go on to take the WBC belt from the American.

Whilst I find it an enticing suggestion, I can?t see Tyson being the man to do it. Even if he does beat Wladimir Klitschko with what will have to be the best performance of his life, I have my doubts as to whether those who run the organisations would even consider letting the brash speaking Tyson be given a chance to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
