But it wasn?t a night to remember!

With the nation waiting, with baited breath, the all British heavyweight showdown between David Haye and Tyson Fury, Tyson was at ringside, with Channel 5, last night to watch his young cousin Hughie in his ninth fight.

Hughie, still a teenager, had won his previous eight fights and was pitched in with the experienced Shane McPhilbin.

However, in what was to be a fight that was shrouded in disappointment, Hughie Fury was to claim his ninth victory, taking his record to 9-0, when in the course of the sporadic first round action, McPhilbin appeared to pick up a shoulder injury.

Obviously in pain, clutching at the injured shoulder as the round progressed, McPhilbin was forced to retire at the end of the first round.

Another victory for Hughie Fury but it has to be said we learnt very little about his potential in what was, as I said a disappointing end to an eagerly anticipated fight.
