With a WBO world heavyweight title fight lined up against Joseph Parker, in September, Hughie Fury was looking for some ring action.

However, having signed the contract for the world title fight Hughie is forbidden from having a warm-up bout.

Therefore, Hughie and his team took the unusual step of taking an exhibition fight.

At the Copper Box Arena, in London, Hughie was matched against Kamil Sokolowski and duly took the decision.

It was the first fight Hughie had competed in since beating Fred Kassi back in April 2016.

However, watching from ringside, Joseph Parker won?t be too fazed about stepping into the Manchester Arena to take on Hughie Fury on September 23rd.

Let?s just hope Hughie?s injury problems don?t resurface ahead of the bout I doubt whether the WBO would be so forgiving if Hughie was to pull-out of a second fight against the Kiwi champion.
