This weekend, at the Manchester Arena, Hughie Fury gets the chance to emulate his cousin Tyson, by becoming a world heavyweight champion.

On Saturday night, Hughie will be challenging Joseph Parker for his WBO heavyweight crown.

At 23-years-of-age, Hughie is unbeaten in 20 fights whilst his opponent is unbeaten in 23 fights.

The fight, if Hughie performs well, could go either way. However, Hughie?s father, Peter Fury, is of the opinion that beating Parker will be harder than beating Wladimir Klitschko with Peter remarking to the media,

‘Parker’s young, rough – in a lot of ways he’s more difficult as you don’t know what’s coming.?

However, Peter has every faith in his son, further remarking,

‘Boxing will appreciate Hughie because as he is on camera, he’s the same off camera. He just lives and breathes to fight. It’s not too much, too soon for him.

‘It’s a massive opportunity. He’s boxed all of his life, he’s an amateur world champion, he’s had vast experience on the big stage before, even Madison Square Garden.’

Can Hughie Fury dethrone the WBO heavyweight champion?

Here at Vital Boxing we?re not so sure, but more of that later in the week.
