Yesterday we mentioned that the big fight night in Dusseldorf, at the ESPIRIT Arena, would be of even greater significance for the Fury clan now that Hughie had been added to the under-card.

We also mentioned that, at the time of reporting the fact, no opponent had been lined up for the 20-year-old unbeaten heavyweight to face.

Well that situation has now been resolved with it being announced that Hughie will go toe-to-toe with somebody his cousin and a current holder of a world title belt have previously fought.

The fighter Hughie will face on October 24th is Nicolai Firtha/b>.

Thirty-six year-old Firtha is considered to be something of a journeyman and has been inactive just recently. He has a record that doesn?t particularly impress, with it reading 21-11-0 with only eight of his wins coming via a knockout.

However, the suggestion being made is that it gives Hughie the perfect opportunity to see how he copes with somebody who has been in the ring with Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
