At the City Academy Sports Centre, in Bristol, Hughie Fury extended his professional record to 12-0 last night.

Taking on an out-of-shape David Gegeshidze, Fury forced a fourth round stoppage with the referee stepping in to save Gegeshidze from shipping further punishment.

The fight threw up very few surprises with Fury forcing the pace but without really hurting his 32 year-old opponent. In fact Fury will be a little annoyed with himself for, despite dominating the action, picking up a cut over his eye after being caught by his opponent.

When the end came, in round four, Fury was trying for a knockout but his punches, although not being answered were not seriously hurting Gegeshidze who, to me, looked as if he?d just run out of steam.

Although still unbeaten, Hughie?s boast of becoming the youngest ever world champion looks to be just pie in the sky, time for him to beat Mike Tyson?s record is running out and he?s still yet to meet any one half decent.
