In the last seven days there has been a lot of talk suggesting that Chris Eubank Jnr could be set to take on the triple world champion Gennady Golovkin.
In the aftermath of his successful British middleweight title defence the Eubank camp have been insistent that the fight they want next is against the reigning WBC, WBA and IBF champion, whilst also suggesting they believe the can beat the fighter who has a 35-0 record and is rated the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
With regards to making the fight, Tom Loeffler, has confirmed that both camps are working on finalising details and that the fight would take place in England, in September.
Although many fight fans dismissed the possibility of the Eubank camp taking on Golovkin as just talk, it would appear that we?re now at the stage whereby a deal will be signed and it just remains to be decided on what date the dup will fight and whereabouts in England.
Here at Vital Boxing we?ll endeavour to keep you abreast of any further news.
