Bernard ?The Executioner? Hopkins continues to amaze the boxing world by remaining an active world champion at the age of 49.
Hopkins, who continues to defy age is the reigning IBF / WBA 175 pound champion and will be looking to add the WBO title to his collection.
If he can do that it?d only be the WBC belt, currently held by Adonis Stevenson, that eludes him.
However, the current holder of the WBO belt has no intention of surrendering it meekly, in fact Sergey Kovalev, after his recent demolition of opponents including our won Nathan Cleverly, will be looking to knock Hopkins into retirement and firmly establish himself as the king of the division.
Although or view of the intended contest will be restricted to viewing on the television, we?re under no illusion that the paying public will lap up the tickets when they go on sale this Friday for the bout at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
I don?t know about you but I can?t wait for this one, I reckon it?s going to be something special.
Hopkins Looking for another Belt.
