The clamour to see the Sheffield fighter, Kell Brook, go head-to-head with the Bolton fighter, Amir Khan, has yet to come to fruition.

So far it appears that any hopes of the current IBF welterweight title holder Brook climbing to the ring to face Khan has been nothing but talk.

Each camp has blamed the other for the mega-fight not happening and, so far, both fighters have taken different paths.

However, reports are emerging that the chances of getting the two fighters in the ring might be improving.

It turns out that Eddie Hearn, Brooks promoter, has had a chat with Khan and believes he?s made some progress with Hearn being quoted as remarking,

?I had some interesting chats with Amir Khan [last] Saturday, and if he fights in January like I think he might, I think the Brook fight can happen in the Summer,?

?I said ?You?ve got to sit down and look at this fight, mate. How much are you getting for these other fights? You?re not getting enough money, I can pay you 5x that for a Brook fight.?

But you have to ask as to whether it is all just about the money for Amir Khan, perhaps Khan feels that Brook hasn?t done enough to make himself a big name in the division to warrant a clash, or perhaps Khan still has these fancy ideas that he will get fights with Pacquiao and Mayweather over the next twelve months.

Personally, I reckon the two fighters will get in the ring but only because ambitions Khan has of fighting the aforementioned greats will, once again, flounder!

Your views on the subject would be most welcome.
