With all the talk being that Lee Selby, the #1 IBF featherweight contender, is going to get his shot at the world title currently held by Evgeny Gradovich, sometime this year, it seems that the venue for the show is still up for grabs.

It had previously been assumed that the fight would take place on Russian soil which would leave Selby facing a monumental task to get a decision, but that could now all be about to change.

Selby?s promoter, Eddie Hearn, is pushing for the fight to be held in the United Kingdom with Hearn remarking to the media,

?We have already been in touch with Top Rank to make them an offer for a fight in the UK in the spring.

?Either way I expect to confirm the fight in the next few weeks. We are keen to stage the fight here and I?m very confident Lee will become the IBF champion in his next fight.?

Here at Vital Boxing we await that aforementioned confirmation.
