If both Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilde continue their winning ways, there is every chance that the world of boxing will get its wish for a unification fight between the fighters who hold the WBA, IBF, WBO and WBC titles between them.

However, Anthony Joshua?s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has warned Wilder that if he thinks he?s going to get a 50-50 purse split the American can think again.

Hearn, talking about a proposed match-up, has remarked,

?The deal in Wilder?s head is a 50-50 split but over my dead body is that ever happening.

?He hasn?t has a serious fight yet and he needs to fight someone real before he can start making demands.?

A fair point made there by Eddie?

Continuing, Hearn further adds,

?I want him to fight Dillian Whyte at the O2 on February 3.

?That would be an absolute tear-up. AJ would buy a ringside seat for that.?

And so would I, but is Wilder up for the challenge in an environment away from the comfort the US provides him with.

  • Wilder is a slugger who has yet to really get caught, could, when they meet, AJ be that man?
