And there were we doubting the big man, shame on us!

Reports that the former WBA world heavyweight champion, David Haye, is set to make a ring comeback, next year, do now look to have some very concrete foundations.

Although Haye hasn?t fought since 2012, when he stopped a game Dereck Chisora, the boxer from Bermondsey has signed up to be trained by Shane McGuigan, son of the legend that is Barry McGuigan and trainer to the current IBF world champion Carl Frampton.

?Carl?s speed, timing, accuracy and punch variety is something I didn?t have.

?The guy behind that is Shane, so I sought him out.

?There?s nothing in the everyday world that gives the same buzz as walking to a ring with 20,000 fans screaming for a fight.?

It remains to be seen who Haye will make his comeback fight against and, if everything goes well after the major shoulder surgery he had, how quickly he can make in-roads into being in contention for a world title fight.
