2016 will see the return to the ring of David Haye.
I was going to say the eagerly awaited return but having witnessed the manner in which his two fights against the legend that is Tyson Fury, fell by the wayside, I?ll only get excited once Haye steps into that ring to face the Australian fighter Mark de Mori.
Ahead of the fight, there has been some debate as to which TV station will be showing it live, would it be Sky Sports Box Nation, Channel 4 or ITV?
Well it seems that Haye might be ahead of the game in that respect with the suggestion being bandied about that the bout will be going out live on You Tube.
Haye has his own Hayemaker channel and the 35-year-old is hoping that this unusual step will draw in additional advertising revenue to bump up his purse.
It?s also suggested that coverage, as a thanks to those fans who remained loyal to him, will be available online.
Whilst admiring the potential enterprising skills of Haye, my view is that the whole spectacle of the event will, for those keen to see the spectacle, be down-graded which would be a crying shame.
But what are your views on the subject matter, do Haye?s plans meet with your approval?
