Boxing can be a strange and puzzling sport!
The way the various governing bodies decide their rankings is always something that causes debate.
Take the IBF for example.
Today it has been announced that David Haye has been moved up to #3 in their heavyweight rankings
Now it perhaps reminding you that having been out of the ring for three and a half years, Haye has had two comeback fights, both have seen the former two-weight world champion blast out opponents that have been marked as questionable.
In his first comeback fight Haye stopped Mark De Mori in the first round and in his second comeback fight it only took Haye two rounds to stop Arnold Gjergjaj.
But both were victories that shipped criticism from the pundits who questioned the status of the opponents De Mori and Gjergjaj had fought in building up their records.
Hayes professional record now reads 26-2 but his swift movement up the rankings suggests that the IBF are ignoring Hayes three year absence and are remembering the fighter that once was.
Your views on Haye?s rise up the rankings to #3 would be most appreciated.
