It?s many happy returns of the day to Duke McKenzie today.

McKenzie, born in 1963, turns 54 today.

Duke?s claim to fame is that he became the first British fighter to win a world title at 3 different weights.

During a career that lasted from 1982 until 1998, Duke had a fight record that reads:

? Won – 39
? Drawn – 0
? Lost – 7

As for those magical 3 world title Duke won they were:

? IBF flyweight title (1986 to 1988)
? WBO bantamweight title (1991 to 1992)
? WBO junior-featherweight title (1992 to 1993)

Duke, also during a wonderful career won the:

? British flyweight title (1985 to 1988)
? European flyweight title (1986 to 1988)
? British featherweight title (1993 to 1994)

Since retiring from fighting Duke has successfully worked as a boxing pundit and was awarded the MBE.
