Now in what many would perceive the last chance saloon after three failed world title attempts, George Groves tops the bill at the Copper Box Arena, at the Olympic Stadium, this Saturday evening.
Groves, who has a record that reads 21-3 with 16 wins by stoppages, goes head-to-head with the Italian fighter Andrea di Luisa, who has a record that reads 18-3 with 14 wins coming by stoppage.
Today the weigh-in was held and Groves weighed in at 170 pounds whilst his opponent stood on the scales weighing 172 pounds.
This time around, a rarity these days, there was no bad mouthing at the weigh-in with Groves commenting to Sky Sports about it,
?He looks like a nice friendly chap to be honest. It?s nice to have a fight that is going to be a fight but not until we step through the ropes.
?There?s no need for it this time round. We?re going to conserve some energy now and save it all for tomorrow night.?
Here at Vital Boxing we reckon, based on the fact Di Luisa was blown away inside four rounds by Lucien Bute last August, Groves will get the win his career needs right now.
