Following those two defeats at the hands of Carl Froch, George Groves dusted himself down, re-assessed his options and decided to continue to pursue his dream.

Throughout that process, George lost none of his confidence and retained his belief that he will, one day, become a world champion.

His emphatic points win over the European super-middleweight champion, Christophe Rebrasse, last night, has once again opened up that path to glory.

Following his points win over the Frenchman, George had this to say to the media,

?It feels great. That was a tough fight. He was a good opponent, a tough guy and took a lot on his chin.?

?We talked about the comedown from a historic fight. This is show business, it?s a sport and we?re here to entertain. I wanted to knock him out but it didn?t happen.?

?You always have to be cautious of a guy who has never been stopped.?

?This was a comedown but we?re trying to create an event. It?s onwards and upwards ? and I want to take over the world.?

?Maybe we will be challenging for a higher-up version of this belt before Christmas.?

Let?s hope so, George has picked himself up, dusted himself down and got back into the world title he scene, could it be third time lucky?
