This Saturday evening, at Bramall Lane Sheffield, George Groves will be making a fourth attempt at winning a world title.

On three previous occasions the Hammersmith fighter has fallen short, in two epic battles with Carl Froch, Groves was stopped on both occasion and in his latest attempt, against Badou Jack in the US, Groves was on the wrong end of a points? decision.

But, as Groves prepares for a fourth and probably last attempt, if things don?t go his way, Groves is looking to emulate the achievements of a certain Frank Bruno who also had three failed world title attempts before finally fulfilling his dream at Wembley Stadium, against Oliver McCall.

Talking to the media about following the same route Bruno took, Groves has remarked,

?There is a comfort in knowing a British icon finally became a world champion after four attempts.

?Bruno was loved by everyone, I just want to win a belt. I just have to win ? that would be enough for me.?

Here?s hoping that Groves gets his hands on that world title belt and we hear those magical words – And the new ???????????.?
