With Badou Jack having won the WBC version of the super-middleweight crown, all that remains to be done is for a date and a venue to be sorted for his first defence against George Groves.

Groves who will be making his third attempt at winning a world title after losing his first two to Carl Froch, has been biding his time.

This morning the big news is that the fight could very well take place in the USA on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather?s (supposed) last fight in September, in Las Vegas.

However, whilst Jack?s camp believe this is the best venue for him it would seem Groves, backed by the Sauerland group, would prefer a fight in the UK.

On a personal level, wouldn?t it be ironic if Groves was to fight on a big Las Vegas bill when the very person who beat him, Froch, looks as if that dream for him will never happen.
