One warm-up fight before another world title shot!

Although the inference in some areas of the press was that George Groves could be gate-crashing a world title shot against Arthur Abraham, at the expense of Paul Smith, in Berlin, reports elsewhere suggest otherwise.

It?s being inferred that Groves is now set to return to the ring in mid-September, against an as yet un-named opponent before trying to win another version of the super-middleweight title, the WBC version against Sakio Bika.

Bika, born in the Cameroon but fighting out of Australia, is set to defend his title against Anthony Dirrell in Los Angeles next month. The duo met back in December, in New York, where the fight was declared a draw.

If Groves? plans come to fruition, he?ll be having a third crack at a world title, following his two defeats against Carl Froch, in December of this year.
