With the pre-fight press conference being held yesterday, at 12:00 hours, at Wembley, it was a very confident looking George Groves who was prepared to talk up his chances of victory.

Dressed in a s*****y suit, Groves refused to get involved, directly, in a war of words with the champion but let the media know exactly how the fight was going to end with the challenger remarking,

?Carl is going to have to face the inevitable when the first bell sounds. He is like a man on death row and I can?t imagine that would be very nice.?

?His destiny is to lose and Saturday night is fast approaching. I?d much rather leave him to digest all of that on his own. He?s in a fight he cannot win because my performance won?t allow him to.?

?That?s got to be a terrible feeling for Carl and it?s only going to get worse.?

?Whether he does or doesn?t know what?s coming, I don?t care. I?ve all bases covered. I?m a better fighter than Carl Froch ? I beat him in every aspect.?

There are rumours doing the rounds that Foch reckons he wasn?t prepared enough last time out and that he took Groves too-lightly, this time around Froch reckons he?s in the shape of his life but can the ageing champion pull one last big victory out of the bag or is it time, as Groves suggests, for a changing of the guard?
