This Saturday, at the Copper Box Arena at the Olympic Stadium, in Stratford George Groves makes his first return to the ring since losing his world title challenge to Badou Jack.

After having had three unsuccessful challenges for various versions of the super-middleweight title, the fight this Saturday, against Andrea di Luisa, really could be a do-or-die fight.

A loss for Groves would clearly signal the end but Groves is confident, after switching trainer, he can resurrect his career.

But di Luisa, an Italian fighter who is thirty-three years of age, doesn’t think that’s the case and questions, after those three world title losses, whether Groves is the same fighter he once was, remarking to the media,

?I don?t believe George is the same fighter as he was before those fights against Froch and Jack,?

?He is a good boxer, a good fighter, but I?m ready for anything. I?m in London to win.?

‘He?s had a few chances to be a World champion but hasn?t succeeded.’

Let’s hope Groves at twenty seven years of age, has enough in his locker to mount one more charge towards a world title.
