Since leaving the ring and after fulfilling his post-fight press obligations, George Groves has been notable by his absence in the media.

The London fighter, having suffered a second consecutive loss to Carl Froch, the second by the sweetest knockout punch Froch reckons he?s ever thrown, needs time to rebuild a career that although has it has taken him to the heights has yet to see the popular fighter grab that elusive world title belt.

Now being promoted by the Sauerland Events team, it?ll be interesting to see when, where and who against the organization tries to restructure the career of Groves. It is expected that Groves, may take some time out of the ring, however the fighter remains confident that he can leave this sport with a legacy behind him, commenting to the media,

?I have a long successful career in front of me.?

?I know it. I certainly don?t need promoter Eddie Hearn or anyone else to tell me. I?d like to think that I?ll eventually become world champion. I just have to work with a little harder to get it.?

My feeling is that Groves next fight is probably the most important of his career so far, it needs to be against a creditable opponent but the result needs to be a victory, a third consecutive defeat doesn?t bear considering!
