At Bramall Lane, Sheffield, on Saturday night, George Groves realised a dream he?d cherished for many a year when he won the WBA super-middleweight title.

For Groves it was a case of fourth time lucky when, after losing to Carl Froch twice and also to Badou Jack by a controversial split points? decision, Groves stopped the former holder of the title, the Russian Fedor Chudinov.

But it seems that the win came at a price.

Talking to the media, Groves has revealed that he suffered a broken jaw in the fight.

Addressing those who follow him on the social network site Instagram, Groves commented,

‘It turns out my Russian mate Chudinov only went and broke my jaw in the 3rd round on Saturday, that or broke it from over smiling since!?

Hopefully the injury won?t keep Groves out of the ring for too long.

Now that he has that world title belt, the chance to become a legend of the division is there for the taking!
