After losing a third time in his quest to win a world title, first on two occasions against Carl Froch and most recently against Badou Jack, George Groves is set to make a ring return in an attempt to get in amongst the big-boys of the super-middleweight division again.

Today it was announced that Groves, managed by Sauerland promotions, will be fighting at the Copper Box Arena, at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford in January 2016.

His comeback bout will be over ten rounds whereby Groves, with a record that reads 21-3 with 16 wins coming by way of knockout, will be taking on Andrea Di Luisa who has a record that reads 18-3 with 14 wins coming by knockout.

Di Luisa is 33 years of age and the most recognisable name on his recent record is that of Lucian Bute who was recently defeated by James DeGale in the London fighters? defence of his IBF crown. On that occasion Di Luisa was blown away in four rounds.

Here at Vital Boxing we expect Groves to do something very similar.
