Tonight New York should witness a fight that could become the fight of the year.

In the famous Madison Square Garden arena there is a mouth-watering middleweight unification fight between two very classy fighters.

Gennnady Golovkin will be defending his IBO / WBA middleweight belts against the IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux.

Golovkin will enter the ring with a record that reads 33-0 with 30 of those wins coming by knockout whilst Lemieux will enter the ring with a record that reads 34-2 with 31 wins coming by way of knockout.

Both fighters made the weight at the weigh-in yesterday and the boxing public will be waiting to see who emerges as the victor. Will it be Golovkin who as well as possessing a concussive punch has this natural ability to wear people down and erode their willpower with his devastating body shots or will the Lemieux be the man to halt the Kazakhstan fighter in his tracks and become the first fighter to defeat him?

This is a fight that could go either way but sat here in the editorial chair I?m edging towards Golovkin with a stoppage between rounds nine and twelve.

How about you?
