Over in New York tonight, there is an intriguing middleweight fight.

At the legendary Madison Square Garden venue the WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin will be defending his bout against a fighter we know a lot about Daniel Geale

Geale, as you?ll recall, is the man Darren Barker beat to win his world title fight over on American soil.

Golovkin, a fighter who stopped Matthew Macklin (amongst others) with a wicked series of body shots, is rated by many as the best fighter in this division. His record stands at 29-0 with 26 of those wins coming by way of knockout.

Geale, on the other hand, will enter the ring with a record that reads 30-2 with 16 wins coming by way of knockout.

Weight-wise, Golovkin weighed in at 159.8 pounds whilst Geale weighed in at 159.2 pounds.

Ahead of the fight Geale, amongst other things, has remarked,

?I think his [Golovkin] weakness is his confidence. He has that huge amount of confidence. I?m going to break it and do my thing.?

That remains to be seen. Unless Geale gets lucky I can see him going the same way as all of Golovkin?s previous opponents.
