After witnessing a total 12 round domination last night, in a fight where Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez won every round against a disappointing Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr, a dramatic announcement was made.
A fight that everybody has been waiting for has been signed, sealed and delivered for 16th September, in Las Vegas.
Oscar De La Hoya confirmed that on the aforementioned date, Golovkin and Alvarez will go head-to-head for the WBA, WBC and IBF middleweight titles Golovkin currently holds.
Both fighters have exceptional records, Golovkin has won all 37 of his fights with 33 of those wins coming by knockout whilst Alavarez has had 51 fights losing just 1, that being against Floyd Mayweather Junior.
Golovkin, sat ringside last night at the T-Mobile Arena, remarked about the deal being done,
