Another victory for the WBA middleweight champion.

For those who chose to tune into Frank Warren?s BoxNation last night, they were rewarded with a classy display from the much heralded WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

Defending his unbeaten run against Osumanu Adama, Golovkin looked a class above his opponent stopping him in the 7th round in Monaco. Golovkin had his opponent on the canvas in the 1st, 6th and 7th rounds as the challenger bravely battled on.

The end came after 80 seconds of the 7th round when the referee, Luis Pabon, stepped in to stop the contest after Golovkin caught Adama with a hard left hook to the head. The punch, to many didn?t look any more devastating than several other Golovkin had thrown in the fight but the referee, like many at ringside, felt the challenger had shipped too many punches and was never going to get back into the fight.

As for the champion, Golovkin, it is now a matter of seeing who is next to face up to his tremendous skills, are there any takers out there?
