In recent discussions, our own Martin Murray has been offered up as a future opponent for the brilliant Gennady Golovkin.

In Monte Carlo this Saturday night, Murray has a difficult looking fight against the #7 WBC middleweight contender Domenico Spada at the Salle des etoiles.

Murray, with a record of 28-1-1 with 12 by way of knockout will be taking on Spada, who has a record of 39-5 with 19 by way of knockout, knowing a win will get him the opportunity to take on the unbeaten Golovkin for his WBA Super world middleweight belt.

With Golovkin waiting in the wings, many might see winning as something akin to a booby prize but many think Murray has the credentials and style to trouble Golovkin, we can but wait and see.
