As we get set for the big fight in Monte Carlo tomorrow night, at the Salle des Etoiles, both fighters have successfully weighed in.

The WBA super-middleweight champion Gennady Golokin, with a mightily impressive record of 31-0 with 28 wins coming by knockout, weighed in at 158.9 pounds and looked in tremendous shape.

The challenger Martin Murray, making his third attempt at trying to win a world title having fallen just short on two previous occasions, was a pounder heavier at 159.9 pounds. Murray, it has to be said, didn?t look so natural at the weight as Golovkin did and the expectations are that the UK fighter will come into the rounds some ten pounds heavier come the time of the fight.

As we?ve said before, Murray faces a huge challenge to beat Golovkin but isn?t this wonderful sport of ours famed for such shocks?
