Top of the bill at the O2 Arena, London, on Saturday night is Kell Brook defending his IBF welterweight title.

It will be Brook?s second defence of the title he won against Shawn Porter in the US.

Many pundits would have liked to see Brook face a sterner opponent than Frankie Gavin but. it would appear, the big-names weren?t interested in taking the fight.

Gavin, sensing he could make a real name for himself, accepted the invitation to fight for the IBF world welterweight title and could, if he gives his best, trouble Brook.

At the weigh-in this afternoon, Gavin was the heavier of the two boxers, tipping the scales at 10st 6lbs 9ozs. whilst the current IBF champion, Kell Brook, weighed in at 10st 6lb 4ozs.

Brook was the more vocal of the two fighters, remarking a the weigh-in,

‘I am not making this a boring fight.

‘I am going to be explosive, to seek and destroy. I am looking to take heads off.

‘Top of the bill at the O2, I am getting where I want to be and looking to excel in this game.’

Can Gavin produce his best performance as a professional and dethrone the champion, or will Brook have too much for the challenger.
