This Saturday night, in Birmingham, Frankie Gavin returns to the very same arena where his career hit the barriers last time out.

Gavin returns to the Barclaycard Arena looking to get his career back on track after being beaten by Sam Eggington back in October.

The defeat saw Gavin switch trainers and he is now with Eggington?s trainer Jon Pegg.

Gavin?s opponent on Saturday night is Renald Garrido, a tough fighter who has already fought on these shores against the likes of Bradley Saunders, Jack Catterall, Martin Lindsay and Robbie Davies Jnr.

Gavin knows that there can be no more slip-ups otherwise a career that promised so much will be over.

Talking about the prospect of facing Garrido, Gavin has remarked,

?I?m heading to the real last chance saloon now.

?I?m in a gym with a lot of fighters and that?s good for me ? it?s keeping me on my toes and hungry.

?I want a big fight next so I need a good performance on Saturday to prove that I can still win massive titles. Garrido is a good test for me, he always comes to win and he?s dangerous, so I need to be on my guard.?

Here?s hoping Frankie Gavin has ironed out those faults and can get back to his best.
