As the Boxing season starts to get back in full swing, following the festive slumber, one of our brightest hopes of becoming a world champion is back in the ring soon.

Frankie Gavin, the current British and Commonwealth champion, will be fighting at the Metro Radio Arena, in Newcastle, on 29th March.

Gavin defending a record that reads 18-0 with 12 by means of knockout, will be taking on the Namibian Sacky Shikukutu.

Shikukutu has a record that reads 18-2-1 with 12 by means of knockout and is described as a durable fighter.

However, the general feeling is that Gavin is a class above his opponent and will use this fight to keep sharp as he hurtles towards a world title fight somewhere down the line.
