It was, if I?m correct, Elvis Costello that sang ?accidents will happen?.

Today news has broken that the eagerly anticipated re-match between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko, at the Manchester Arena, on July 9th has now been postponed.

It transpires that Tyson, whilst running in the Lake District, has injured his ankle.

Talking about his injury, Tyson has remarked,

‘They’ve said it’s not broken but it’s badly sprained and to keep off it for six to seven weeks.?

His trainer, Peter Fury, has chipped in with,

?Fight date will be postponed with new date released very soon, probably today.’

With the fight pushed back at least a couple of months, Wladimir Klitschko is probably a frustrated man with the Ukrainian desperate to get back the WBO and WBA belts Fury ripped from his grasp in Dusseldorf.

‘Of course, I am currently totally disappointed about the cancellation.

‘As well as for my fans, I´m very sorry, they were all very excited for this rematch. But one thing is also clear, this just means I’ll get my belt a few weeks later.’

Disappointing news but these things happen in sport don?t they?
